Feather & Blade

We were approached by Lexington, KY based Feather & Blade, a micro-blading start up, to create their branding. F&B were a dream client, owner Holly Meredith, is super creative, so the brand creation was truly a collaboration with Holly's vision shining throughout. We designed a brand mark, icon, signage and stationery. Our favourite part is the icon - based on a Straight Razor, it is a visual representation of a feather and blade.    Photography by Crystal Ludwick Photo LLC

Featured on One Fab Day

We are still pinching ourselves, ahhh! Yesterday, I had an email pop up from the One Fab Day Editorial Team with 'You've Been Featured In A One Fab Day Real Wedding!' in the subject line. I thought it was a newsletter, detailing how to get featured, but when I read it and realised we had been featured, there were many shrieks of excitement in the studio. In our eyes being featured on One Fab Day, is like a Fashion Designer being featured in Vogue. We are over the moon to receive our first (and hopefully not our last) feature on such a revered digital publication, and we have our incredible clients Catherine and Lee to thank for it. They shared pictures of their stationery, and passed...

Feature on Siliconrepublic.com

We were incredibly excited that the recent article written about us by Emily McDaid 'Do hipsters respond better to anti-tech design?' has been picked up by Siliconrepublic.com. We have had so much lovely feedback from this article, which we are incredibly thankful for. The industry does feel very balanced in the favour of tech companies so it is great when tech and hand crafted design can come together and celebrate each other.   Do hipsters want a low-tech look? “I think there’s a desire to counteract our fast-paced, screen-based modern culture with designs that have weighty, traditional textures,” Karla concluded.   Read the full article here.

Sarah & Andrew True Blue

We LOVED working with Sarah and Andrew on their wedding stationery and then on all of the print collateral on their wedding day. They kindly shared some of their images with us and we just had to share them with you. Sarah and Andrew are based in England so we designed their stationery via Skype Calls and emails. For their wedding stationery Sarah and Andrew selected our True Blue Readymade Invites which you can purchase here. For their wedding day they selected the True Blue Readymade Orders of Service, but for the rest of the collateral they wanted something a little more bespoke. They were such a fun, enthusiastic couple, with great vision and style. For their venue we created their...

Do hipsters respond better to anti-tech design?

Connect, a not-for-profit network of experienced entrepreneurs, business professionals and top research talent recently approached us to chat about our process and our future. We were interviewed for their Techwatch section, which usually features cutting edge tech companies, but for the month of November they were exploring the resurgence of hand crafted design, and were interested in our Letterpress work. With a headline of: 'Do hipsters respond better to anti-tech design?' we were delighted to share with journalist Emily McDaid our process, what attracted us to shun modern tech in favour of a 70 year old printing press, and how we reach our market. Do hipsters want a low-tech look? “I think there’s a desire to counteract our fast-paced, screen-based modern culture with designs that have...
